2)  911 DISPATCHER:  Callaway County Joint Communications Center has an opening for Communications Operators.  Annual starting salary is $38,000 ($18.26 per hour) with a full benefits package. After a successful training period, employees are eligible for up to $2,000 annual salary increase. 4) DEPUTY COURT MARSHAL:

DEPUTY COURT MARSHAL I– CALLAWAY COUNTY
Fulton, MO
Starting wage is $38,500 – $41,000 annually with option of a pay increase after a
6-month successful probationary period.
We are looking for an energetic person to serve as Deputy Court Marshal for Callaway County
Courthouse. The 13th Judicial Circuit Court employs a modern, full service Court Marshal Office
which is composed of one Court Marshal, two Sergeants, ten Deputy Court Marshals and three
Security Officers. Of those positions, one Sergeant two FT and two PT Deputy Court Marshals
work within the Callaway County Courthouse.
Our Court Marshals are highly trained, having the responsibility of providing courtroom and
courthouse security; tending to juries; arrest, process and guard defendants using automated
record keeping.
This job can be difficult at times and requires patience and hard work, but it is extremely
rewarding. We will provide all the on the job training you will need to be successful.
Deputy Court Marshals are vested with the power of arrest and are responsible for ensuring the
safety and security of the judges, court staff, and clients of the court, and the security of the
court facilities. The position is Monday through Friday, occasionally working beyond normal
working hours as the court requires.

Position Responsibilities:
• Security screening of individuals entering the courthouse: x-ray machine operation, metal
detector operation, record-keeping.
• Courtroom security: opening and closing court sessions, handling files and evidence,
maintaining order.
• Building and grounds security: opening and closing building, monitoring equipment,
maintaining order.
• Maintain records of the marshal’s office, as required.
• Work with juries: greeting jury panelists, orientation of jurors, assisting jurors during jury
trials, providing security for jurors and sequestered jury trials.
• Law enforcement: arrest persons on outstanding warrants, upon order of the court, or as
a result of law violations on courthouse premises; take individuals into custody upon
order of the court; receive reports of law violations occurring on courthouse property.
• Complete bond investigations as ordered by the court.
• Maintain records for individuals on Home Detention
• Maintain records for individuals completing Community Service
• Assist the Jury Services Office by processing questionnaires and preparing
summons
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications

5) “CASE COORDINATOR”, ALSO KNOWN AS DEPUTY PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR (PROBATIONARY):   Position Overview:
The Deputy Public Administrator (Probationary) manages a caseload of incapacitated and disabled adults as a court-appointed fiduciary, requiring independent decision-making within established office policies. The role supports the Public Administrator, Chief Deputy Public Administrator, and Financial Deputy, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all tasks.The starting salary for this position is $36,000 annually and comes with a full benefits package, including free health insurance, two retirement programs, paid vacation/sick/holiday leave, free life insurance policies, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Services and Legal Activities (50%)
    • Manage client cases, participate in service planning, and collaborate with the Public Administrator, Chief Deputy Public Administrator and Financial Deputy.
    • Assist in finding community resources for clients, such as housing, medical and behavioral health services, and independent living support.
    • Develop and maintain treatment plans that prioritize client independence, dignity, protection, and safety and ensure the least restrictive alternative according to Missouri law.
    • Advocate for clients, ensuring clinical decisions and treatment options are accurate, timely, and confidential.
    • Investigate issues, mediate conflicts, and make decisions that balance the needs of all involved parties.
    • Maintain regular contact with clients, including face-to-face visits and phone communication.
    • Monitor client status during medical or behavioral health inpatient care.
    • Maintain and update all medical and legal documents related to the client as needed.
    • Complete and submit Annual Status Reports to the Probate Court, per Missouri statute (RSMo Section 475.082).
  2. Financial Management (30%)
    • Assist with inventories, annual settlements, and investigate clients’ income, assets, and eligibility for benefits.
    • Collaborate with case managers to address financial issues and establish client budgets.
    • Stay informed on benefit programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, Supplemental Insurance, VA, and Social Security.
  3. Other Duties (20%)
    • Serve as backup for incoming calls overnight or on weekends, ensuring professionalism and timeliness.
    • Attend court hearings related to guardianship, conservatorship, and client restoration. Also, attend court hearings related to decedent probate estates.
    • Participate in ongoing education and certification programs as required.
    • Obtain National Guardianship Certification within two years of court appointment as a Deputy Public Administrator.
    • Stay current with MAPA (Missouri Association of Public Administrators) and NGA (National Guardianship Association) standards of practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Preferred experience with financial management tools like Quicken or QuickBooks.
  • Experience in social services, legal services, or healthcare services.
  • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate with the ability to accurately manage legal, medical, and financial documents.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Basic American Sign Language (ASL) skills are a plus but not required.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based work (80%), with occasional travel to various client locations (20%).
  • Some travel during inclement weather may be required.

  • Adequate vision for data entry and reading documentation.
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly for communication via phone and in person.
  • Must be able to drive to client locations within the state.

6) PROGRAM ASSISTANT (PART-TIME):    The Callaway County Juvenile Office is accepting applications for a part-time Program Assistant position. This position works 15 – 20 hours per week and pays $15 per hour. There are no benefits available for this position.

8) DEPUTY COLLECTOR:   The Callaway County Collector’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Deputy Collector position. 9) MECHANIC: The Callaway County Road & Bridge department is accepting applications for a full-time Mechanic position. The starting salary range for this position is $39,936 – $45,000 annually ($19.20 – 21.63 per hour), depending on experience and education. The normal hours of operation for the Callaway County Road & Bridge department is Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm. However, inclement weather or other emergency situations can extend these hours.

Requirements:

– High School diploma or GED/equivalent

– Valid Missouri driver’s license

– Pre-employment drug screen

– 3 years experience in light and heavy duty equipment maintenance OR degree from 2-year technical school in Heavy Equipment, Diesel Mechanics, or related field, OR equivalent combination of experience and education.

– Must obtain Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement within 6 months of hire

– Must acquire and maintain a Missouri Vehicle Inspection license within 6 months of hire

– Possess the skills, education, and experience necessary to work with the Lead Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform required maintenance and repair work for Callaway County’s fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

– Planning and managing the repair and preventative maintenance of County vehicles and equipment

– Maintaining appropriate level of spare parts inventory and procuring materials needed

– Conducting assessments of damaged vehicles or equipment and determining what needs to be fixed

– Disassembling vehicles or equipment to locate broken part(s), assuring for safety

– Performing skilled, technical, semi-skilled, and administrative duties. Preparing maintenance and repair reports. Maintaining paper and electronic records.

– Maintaining specialized computer equipment and software for fleet/fuel systems

10) ROAD MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT: The Callaway County Road & Bridge department is accepting applications for a full-time Road Maintenance Superintendent position. The starting salary range is $56,576 – $61,568 annually ($27.20 – $29.60 per hour).   • At least five years’ experience with road construction and maintenance projects, which includes at least two years as a crew leader or foreman, or equivalent combination of experience and education in related field

  • Ability to read and understand highway and bridge engineering plans and specifications

Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):

  • Working with staff to continually inspect and monitor road conditions and identify necessary maintenance work
  • Working with Road & Bridge leadership and staff to coordinate all aspects of assigned project to ensure proper scope, communication, awareness of utility locations and safety concerns, availability of materials, etc.
  • Assisting with maintaining general inventory of materials and supplies
  • Assisting with annual work plan for budgeting purposes
  • Managing strategic snow and ice removal for all county maintained roads
  • Supervising work crews in performance of Road & Bridge operations, such as mowing, grading, ditching, equipment and material hauling, culvert installation / drainage improvements, crack sealing, chip sealing, tree trimming, snow removal / storm response, and sign maintenance
  • Assigning staff, tasks, and equipment for daily activities and overseeing job progress
  • Operating equipment and performing labor, as needed
  • Other road maintenance and/or supervisory duties, as needed
